This log home maintenance project needed a environmentally safe chemical to strip of the old stain. Total project completion time was about 3 weeks. Stain was deteriorated due to mold and mildew build up. The mold and mildew created a hard coating that needed to be broke down by a chemical to strip the logs to bare wood. Then we decided to use a darker stain to cover the woods inconsistent color. The mold and mildew build up was due to shade and neglect in yearly maintenance.
Weatherseal Apache Brown stain was used in the re-staining of this log home by spraying with a industrial sprayer.See more projects
